In a bar in Toledo across from the depot on a
bar stool she took off her ring
I thought I'd get closer so I walked on over I
sat down and asked her name

After he left us I ordered more whisky I thought how she'd
made him look small
From the lights of the bar room to a rented ho-tel room we
walked without talking at all
She was a beauty but when she came to me she
